Meet Duncan Wong
Duncan's yogic path began as a teenager, seeking solace from his street and professional fighting youth. His yogic roots are founded in the Ashtanga Vinyasa lineage, and he is authorized to teach by Sri K. P. Jois, of Mysore, South India. He is certified in the Jivamukti Yoga method, as taught directly by co-creators, Sharon Gannon and David Life.
He holds his black belt teaching degrees, and attributes his main Buddhist influences from his life-long sword mentor, Master, S.J. Su, of the Korean Kuk Sool Buddhist arts family line. Duncan's dual edged practice found common ground through his exploration into the Thai and Shiatsu massage healing methods.
Yogic Arts was born from the synthesis of this trinity of disciplines, which share roots that extend back to prehistory.
Combining intuitive touch and alignment principles with contemporary and traditional musical tracks, the practice is deepened and enhanced by the dynamic Thai vinyasa assists that Duncan offers throughout his work.
Duncan's experiece of dhristhi diksha shaktipat, or direct gaze initiation of source energy awakening, from his spiritual guru, Gurumayi Chidvilasananda, is what he attributes his inspiring healing energy towards.
His celebrated performing clients that he refers to as his life mentor's, include
Master Madonna, Sri Sting and Blessed Bjork.
